Tremont Theatre stage machinery dazzles as Burgess opens

Burges begins a four week engagement at Tremont Theatre with a complex stage system weighing many tons. Front and rear fences move by pulleys to produce dramatic effects while John Coleman and Jesse Henderson, known as the Cherubs, accompany Mr. Wilson's company. The two former Washington, D. Burgess stage promises seven Thoroughbreds in County Fair at Tremont

Five horses currently appear in the show but Mr Burgess vows seven will perform in this marvellous effect tonight. Tremont Theatre upgrades enable a superior production of County Fair compared with Boston stage history. Burgess’s four week engagement brings nearly the same strong company as last year.
