Counterfeit Ring Exposed In Canada And Baltimore

Anthony Decker's arrest in Baltimore uncovers a year old counterfeiting conspiracy in Montreal. Canadian secret service had shadowed the group for eight months awaiting the right moment. Fund sent for Boer war widows and orphans

Secretary Hay received 750 dollars collected by the St Louis Post and sent to the State Department by Mr Pretorius. The money was forwarded to Adelbert Hay in Pretoria for Kruger to distribute to Boer war widows and orphans. The department notes the gifts are strictly for charitable purposes.

Michael Hannon Dead In Acton Community Leader

Michael Hannon a long time foreman for the Fitchburg railroad and a noted Catholic leader in South Acton died suddenly on Tuesday. He leaves a widow and four children including Josephine wife of Congressman John F. Fitzgerald. Funeral from his South Acton home Saturday for 10 am services at the Catholic church in Maynard.

Rumors say General Kitchener has set out with a large force to relieve Ladysmith by turning the Boer left flank. Skating Accident Hurts 16 Year Old on Neponset Playground

Rose Cancello aged 16 of Wollaston sustained a concussion after slipping on ice at the Neponset avenue playground last night. She was carried to a nearby house by bystanders and alerted friends were notified.
