Many heirs claim $750000 estate in Murdock case
Susana Murdock of South Carver died September 4 1902 intestate, leaving a $750000 estate. Master Warren Goddard was appointed to determine kinship as 14 additional relatives contend for a share. The probate court named first cousins Louis J. Pratt and Benjamin F. Ellis among heirs, with Amiel Murdock’s status central to the claim. Over 2000 letters have been sent by administrator George B. Fowler to resolve the knotty genealogy.
