A mad bull escaped from a slaughter house in Wakefield on January 31 and endangered several people, delayed an express train, and scattered pedestrians. Police and about fifty men and boys pursued the animal for miles, firing repeatedly until the bull fled to high lands near Melrose and was killed.
A 2000 pound bull owned by William H. Gould of Lynnfield rampaged through Wakefield and nearby areas. It charged Main Street injuring none, after a chase involving about 50 armed pursuers. The animal traveled eight miles before being slain by Gould in Greenwood.
Advertisement states Father John's Medicine is not a patent medicine and contains no alcohol or injurious drugs. It asserts cures for colds coughs throat and lung troubles, purges impurities from the blood, and builds up the system.

She grabbed a carving knife after a glass of water was served, struck the intruder, and he fled. Fiske, shaken, has gone to her mother's in Spencer. she is to wed Delor Barry of Worcester.
