Frank Sullivan Captured After Robbing Shain Jewelry Store

Abraham Shain of 447 Tremont Street was attacked as Sullivan entered before opening, seized a tray of rings, and fled. Officers Files and Buck captured him. Sullivan resisted photography and Bertillon measurements, delaying authorities. Shain suffered serious head injuries and remained bedbound at home.

Thinks Silver Issue Dead In Boston Trade Meeting

At the Boston Paper Trade Association quarterly meeting held at the Exchange Club last night, members voted to withdraw from the National Board of Trade following guidance from George W. Wheelwright. Wheelwright reported that silver is now a dead issue in business circles, and the group memorialized W. A. Russell and Byron S. Benton. Arthur K. Melrose February 1 The Melrose Athletic Club held its first annual ball at the Town Hall with a large turnout of social leaders.
