The funeral of Thomas J. O Hara former member of the South Boston Catholic Institute was held from his home at 9 B street. High mass was at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary with Rev Father McAvoy as celebrant. Mr William J Sullivan sang The Cross and Crown. Mourners and friends filled the church and many floral tributes were sent. Pallbearers were Walter Cook Henry Whelan Patrick Cady John Conley Ignatius Melville and Patrick Hastry. Interment followed at Calvary.

Harvard Teams to Meet Penn and B A A at Boston Meet

Harvard will enter two teams to race against the University of Pennsylvania and the Boston Athletic Association at the February 9 meet. Tufts Delta Upsilon Chapter Opens New House

The Tufts Delta Upsilon chapter celebrated the formal opening of its colonial style three story house off Packard Avenue with a faculty reception. Built at about $10,000 the building features bay windows with views to Boston and a veranda. The event hosted professors, matrons, and guests including Miss Clement of Newton and Miss Marshall of New York, with a buffet luncheon to end the evening.

Keegan murder trial alibi witnesses tested in court

In Providence the Keegan murder case heard key alibi witnesses. Mrs Mary A Bacon testified Keegan left the 27th at 2 pm and returned 7 pm though cross examination damaged the alibi. The defense sought a late night wagon report but witnesses contradicted themselves. Police meanwhile removed a likely traveling con artist, Frederick Stebbins, from Boston after exposing his scheme to bleed banks on credit.

Somerville Girl Missing Stirs Family Appeal for Help

William Duffy of Somerville appeals through the Post for news of his daughter Sophia Duffy a pretty 18 year old salesgirl from 8 Poplar Court who disappeared Christmas morning. She left with a few clothes and little money, was last seen in a gray flannel outfit and buff jacket, and her parents fear she may be harmed or detained away from home.

The funeral for Harry Robinson was held at his father-in-law Reuben Ward's home in Marlboro New Hampshire. Rev John G Colby spoke on his heroic contributions to workers in shops and factories and opposed greed. Martha Moore Avery of the People's Union and Thomas C Brophy of the Socialist Labor party attended and spoke.

Death From A Fall At Coal Yard Claim Casey Life

John S. Casey aged 28 an employee of the Philadelphia and Reading company fell from the runway at the coal yard in Newburyport on February 1. He suffered a skull fracture six broken ribs and internal injuries and died a few hours later leaving a family.

Man Sentenced for Manslaughter in Pittsfield

In Pittsfield on February 1, Judge Maynard sentenced Edward John Carroll of Great Barrington to two years in the House of Correction for manslaughter after he struck George De Verney on May 18, 1894, the fatal blow causing death when his head hit the pavement. Carroll pleaded guilty. Louis Hirsch received eighteen months for adultery.
