Arthur W. Kennard of 447 Beacon Street Back Bay awoke to a light in the hall and a man on the stairs. Mrs Kennard confronted the intruder who fled, and police found entry through a rear basement door with a small wooden breach and a tiny hand manipulated the bolt.
George Busse brother of Mayor Fred A Busse demonstrates a revolver to a maid in the Walton apartment building on North Clark Street. A misfire pierced two windows, crossed an area and fatally struck Mrs L C Tuckerman of New York aged 32 in the heart. No arrests. authorities say accidental.
