Quigley to be Chelsea’s youngest mayor in era
Lawrence F. Quigley is set to be inaugurated Monday at the Chelsea Armory as the city’s youngest mayor and possibly New England’s. The 28 year old rose from Chelsea street life to state legislator, Navy service, and now mayor with broad support from his wife and voters. He plans public improvements, a Board of Trade, streetcar and tax goals, and will address residents without tickets or reserved seats.
