Martin Murray a 45 year old section foreman on the Boston and Maine White Mountains division died at his Lakeport home after his chest was crushed while coupling cars in the railroad yard. He died an hour after the accident and is survived by a widow and one brother. The incident occurred in Laconia New Hampshire.
In Danabury Connecticut on December 2 a 14 year old boy Ollie Atherton drowned while trying to rescue his sister Susie Atherton and Tra Baisley who had broken through the ice on White's Pond. Workmen heard cries and rescued Baisley and Susie Atherton.
Milford announces the Union Rubber Company of Boston will not establish here, leaving Milford Rubber Company with its 125 current workers. The Boston firm reportedly leased new quarters on or near Dover Street in Boston.
In Groveland the town held a meeting despite a Superior Court injunction. Judge Bell denied a motion to dissolve a temporary injunction blocking Groveland town from holding a meeting. The Nov 11 vote to build a high school led to a nine member committee. Dec 10 petitions sought adding three members, but Selectmen refused to call the Dec 27 session.

They adopted resolutions urging that the islands not be sold but that reforms under the Danish flag in commerce industry and society be carried out which they believe a Christian leader and his ministry can advance.
A petition presented to King Christian the cabinet and the Rigsdagen on December 27 objects to selling the Danish West Indies without a plebiscite. The document bore zero signatures.
