Four year old burns to death on Christmas Day
Frank Jotgeseler aged four died after his clothing caught fire from a kitchen stove while playing near Christmas toys at 224 Roxbury street. The mother extinguished the flames but the boy died within two hours. Medical Examiner Draper ruled the death accidental burning.

Stephen T Kelley of 986 Hyde Park avenue was arrested for drunkenness by officers of Station 6 and moved from the city prison to City Hospital. In a semi comatose state he grew violently ill in his cell. doctors diagnosed a severe alcohol attack and he remained in serious condition at the hospital.

San Francisco dispatch reports last night's riot at the Presidio spilled to Tarpey's saloon outside the Presidio as about 20 soldiers surrounded it and fired stones into the building.
