Miss Duncan Flight From Stage Ends Troubled Toledo Affair
Miss Duncan left for Toledo distraught and misunderstood after a concert at the Academy of Music ended abruptly when her pianist departed and the dancer stumbled through a Schubertian waltz without music. She collapsed at curtain call and hid from her husband Serge Yessinen as Max Rabinowitz could not be located to explain his departure. She described Christmas as hard for those with lost children and recalled a champagne gift that led to a delirium.
