Robbery-robber tracked after two-day police stakeout
For some time past ladies reported to the police that shopping bags were stolen near the principal dry goods stores. Special officers McCausland and Franks of the fourth division worked two days, spotted the supposed perpetrator Wednesday, and followed her to her residence in the Highlands area.

Cowboys Seize Southern Pacific Train at Langtry
Six cowboys boarded the erstwhile bound passenger train as it neared a bridge over the Pecos River. They forced the conductor to stop at Langtry, later joined by twenty more gunmen, all intoxicated, who shot out lights and robbed the baggage car of peanuts and candies. No one was reported shot as the gang departed at Uvalde after traveling over miles.
