Old Dorchester beat Newtowne rollers three straight games on the Dorchester alleys to break the Amateur Bowling League of Boston and Vicinity tie with Charlestown. Old Dorchester led in second-ball work and scored 1 to 71. Batters of Old Dorchester had a 543 three-string total and Small posted a 96 high single.

BC Students Stage Macbeth At College Hall

Boston College students presented Shakespeare's Macbeth in the college hall on James Street. Ambrose Dore as Macduff and Alexander I. Peary club to refit Windward for polar voyage

The Peary Arctic Club will repair the steamer Windward for next season's northern cruise. The vessel now lies at Brigus and will be brought to St John’s for docking, thorough repair, and new engines. Explosion Roars on Athol Rail Line Injures Two

On the Athol branch of the Boston & Albany railroad an explosion in booster boiler hurt engineer Harry Ingraham who lost an eye and fireman Edward Coman with facial and arm injuries. The engine No. 8 pulled passenger train 338 from Athol to Springfield near South Athol, causing panic but no fatalities.
