Ivernia Encounters Rough Atlantic Voyage
The Cunard steamer Ivernia arrived after a rough crossing from England with 676 passengers aboard. Her size and stability provided comfort, though ventilators were damaged and a sea broke into steerage briefly causing alarm before repairs. Captain Stephens calls the voyage rough but not unusual for the season.
