Four men sustain severe scalds in hotel coffee tank blast
A coffee tank burst in the Hotel Reynolds kitchen last night at about eight o clock injuring four workers. C W Reilly John C Conway and Henry Hageloff suffered severe burns while Raphael Beterone the hotel chef was also burned. All were taken to City Hospital with relatives arriving amid a quarantine restricted visit.

Northeast storm near Highland Light grounds coast
A severe northeast storm began at noon near Highland Light with winds at 36 miles per hour by 7 p m and heavy snowfall. Three lumber laden schooners passed out and likely were trapped before reaching the shoals while a southbound steamer whistle was heard later. The storm is expected to intensify overnight.
