Murder in Rochester Showdown over Family Property
In a Rochester courtroom the State outlines its theory of a grisly murder tied to disputed real estate. Isaac Sawtell allegedly lured his brother Hiram to a rural road, used a top buggy and a hired team, and killed him near a barn before concealing the body in Maine. Witnesses describe sightings, telegrams about a sick child, and a trail of weapons and blood as investigators pursue the mystery across New Hampshire and Maine.
