SANTFORD Conn Dec 16 Franklin Obis a brakeman on the New York and New England railroad was killed this morning in a depot collision. His switching engine struck freight on the track and Obis was crushed and badly burned before rescue. He lived about three hours after being taken from the wreck leaving a widow and four children in North Albany NY.
The divorced wife of ex senator Christiancy, Lillie Lugendel, died recently and her remains were temporarily placed in the Oak Hill cemetery public vault in Washington. A small funeral gathering of friends attended.
In Lyons on December 16 Garnier scored 600 and Daly 653 including a 302 run. The two night totals show Garnier 1200 and Daly 1157, reflecting strong play in a tight match.
