Monticello New York December 15 The Rev David F Howell convicted of assaulting his wife was jailed after failing to pay a five dollar fine. A friend paid the fine and he avoided the five day confinement. Mrs Howell also sues Jennie L Green for sixty thousand dollars alleging alienation of her husband’s affections. Vestry of the church met in secret session this afternoon.
