A A U National Championships Considered For City
Plans discussed for hosting the AAU national athletic championships in this city next year under BA A and NCAA auspices. Boston shows interest and Worcester bids if the Hub is not chosen. The big indoor BA A meeting is set for February at Mechanics Hall with events including a potato race and a two prep school team race. The interscholastic indoor championships follow March 17 in Mechanics Hall with Roxbury Latin and Hopkinson likely to dominate. George objects to Tommy Conneffs record mile citing English opinions while noting the race featured 1000 yard field and fast runners. Techs boxing meet slated for early February with Burnett and Gilman set to settle a prior dispute next Thursday.
