Washington December 9. A military court of inquiry reports conclusive evidence that members of the 25th Infantry colored, inside the Brownsville fort, fired on the town while others raced through Brownsville Texas, shooting in the streets.
The court avoids discussion but signals a plan by Southern delegates in Congress to abolish negro troops. The Roosevelt era debate resurges as officers report finding bullet holes near Brownsville and bullets matching army pattern. Court members may allow discharged regimental members to testify during hearings here.
Mrs Amelia A Tomklies president of the woman s auxiliary announced the group will urge Congress to endorse Gifford Pinchot chief forester and fund drainage of swamp lands. Her bold move drew cool reception at the final open meeting of the National Rivers and Harbors Congress as the auxiliary promotes beautification of navigable banks.

Loie Fuller and her barefooted muses presented The Ballet of Light in Boston last night. The spectacle wowed patrons with unmatched stage lighting and a graceful, charming performance by Fuller’s company.
A dazzling stage show featuring 20 muses delighted patrons with films of light and flame. Miss Von Axen and Miss Orchidee wowed the crowd as Regisseur Delfino Menotti staged kaleidoscopic effects. A stereopticon icy vision followed the intermission, leaving the audience spellbound.

Jessamy Harte Steele, once in a Portland poor house and later sheltered by Eleanor Robson, sues Henry L. Steele in Yonkers for divorce. She married Denver mine owner Steele eight years ago, says he deserted her in Portland and left her destitute. Robson's aid helped her recover.
Prosecutor Mott said he will present the case of Miss Virginw Wardlaw, accused of the murder of Mrs. Ocey Snead, to the county grand jury. The hearing before Recorder Nett at East Orange, New Jersey, is set for Saturday, despite ongoing investigations.

Captain Loose and Mr. Dunkle claimed they were not allowed to examine Dr. Cook's original records, only the newspaper observations. Dunkle said he acted as a go-between to sell the goods and arrange for Captain Loose to assist in preparing the report for Danish scientists, describing Loose as a top maritime sharp.

He also relays Mrs Cook's claim that her husband fled to elude four detectives tracking him constantly.
Rector J. Torp of the University of Copenhagen says New York Times charges against Dr. Frederick A. Cook are fiction, and will examine documents from Loose and Dunkle. Some scientists call Cook's accusers fakirs, noting pretrial prejudice could harm his record while Copenhagen experts await review.
