The Boston Central Labor Union narrowly failed to endorse the National Labor Party after a motion to form a 10 member committee to cooperate with that party was defeated by seven votes. Final action was deferred to the next meeting as a special order of business.
Hastening to Indianapolis for a conference with miners leaders tomorrow. President's proposed settlement to be considered and probably accepted. Details not public.
Mrs Mary Callahan, mother of three noted players John Yale captain Harry Princeton captain and Arthur Lawrence High captain, offered a short talk on do's and don'ts for mothers of boys. She warned nagging is a major fault and urged mothers to guide their sons with discretion.
Boston liquor dealers and dry movement leaders predict the Supreme Court ruling on war time prohibition will favor their side. Wets plan to rush bottled goods to market while drys rest on the claim that the nation is dry now and never will be wet again.

Mrs. Esther M. Rollins of Roxbury says her sons George and Charles Rollins are absolutely innocent after they were found guilty of murder tied to hold ups of cashiers in Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. stores in Roxbury and Dorchester. She spoke from her apartment with her daughter and Walter, despite shock from Charles's trial.

The court ruling may declare the try act unconstitutional delaying the coming prohibition until January 16 when national nationwide Prohibition takes effect.
