An attachment was placed on the furniture of Charles H. Chase in Salem in the interest of Charles H. Odell. Chase ran a bucket shop on Odell's block on Washington street since last summer and had prospered until recently. James H. Lisk of Lynn attempted similar action but arrived too late. Chase left Salem yesterday.
In Washington on December 5, Mr. Bland of Missouri introduced a bill in the House to repeal the 1873 prohibition on silver dollar coinage and re enact the 1873 standard for a free coinage silver dollar of 4121 1 2 grains.
The Boston Trio Club gave the first of three Miller Hall concerts last night featuring violin cello and piano with Beethoven's B flat major Op. 97 and Saint-Saëns's E minor Op. 92. An analytical essay by Dr. Percy Goetschius preceded the performance. The next concert is set for January 5.

Pittsfield voters rejected a license and elected Mayor J. C. Crosby Democrat over J. L. Peck Republican by 1855 to 1689. Aldermen results show seven wards mostly Republican with two Democrat wins. council stands 13 Republicans to 8 Democrats. School committee Ward 1 results not shown.
Fitchburg voters elected a no license candidate defeating three rivals in a four way mayoral race. The contest featured the regular Republican nominee and other contenders as results poured in from the December election.
