St Vincent's Fair in Wait's Hall continues two weeks
The St Vincent's Fair in Wait's Hall South Boston continues for two weeks more with strong patronage. The memory of the late Robert W Dresser prompted wholesale woollen houses to close Saturday afternoon. A Boston merchant in London sent 250 for benevolent uses. About fifty seamen left the navy yard on a small government steamboat at half past six Saturday morning destination unknown. An association of pigeon and pet stock fanciers formed in the city last week and will meet again December 11 for officers. Ex Governor Claflin placed a memorial window in the Chapel of Wellesley Female College for his daughter who died in Europe. In Ward 22 Democratic caucus Mr W G Thatcher withdrew as Councilman candidate. Harvard University Catalogue 1875 6 received from Cambridge.

Grantmore's Concert at Boston Theatre Delights Large Audience
The Boston Theatre hosted Grantmore's concert last evening with a large, enthusiastic crowd. The program pleased all, encores followed solo numbers, and the grand regimental band led by Mr Gilmore showed remarkable precision. Emma C. Thursby sang Messiah arias to acclaim. Arbuckle drew calls with cornet fantasies and standard tunes. The event proved profitable for organizers. Caroline Richings Bernard Concerts at Tremont Temple will feature distinguished artists in six performances this week with varied costumes and a flexible price range for seats.
