FULTON Dismissed After Church Vote and Resignation
At Friday night prayer service Rev Dr Fulton read a defiant letter to opponents, then asked members to accept his resignation. After a third vote his request was granted, and he obtained letters of dismissal for himself and family before withdrawing. The Hebrew Fair opens Monday at the Hippodrome with floral decorations by Dee & Doyle of Boston and thirty young ladies staffing the tables. The German Republican Committee celebrated a victory with a largely attended banquet led by Ex Judge Dittenhoefer, joined by Postmaster James and Gen George Sharpe among others. The Clerk of the Superior Court testified it costs 150000 a year to run that Court, with the same for the Common Pleas. Residents of West Cheater county and Long Island towns are buying rifles for protection. The Navy Yard Court of Inquiry remains in session, secretly. Wages on New Jersey railroads have been reduced to 90 cents per day.
