Is He Moses New York Police Think They Hold Ex Governor

A man calling himself Dr William A Ferguson of Galveston Texas is believed by New York police to be former South Carolina Governor Franklin J Moses. He was arraigned on charges of obtaining money under false pretences in Washington and elsewhere and held on $1000 bail for examination. Moses has a long criminal record across several states, including larceny, forged notes, and swindling, with prior imprisonments in New York Boston Detroit and Cambridge. He denies being Ferguson or the former governor.

Horse Plunges Into Trench on Milk Street

A horse hit the trench on Milk street yesterday afternoon attached to a tip cart labeled C. Duncan. The animal fell three feet below street level during a race with American Express Team 433. F J Hines of 19 Foster court Charlestown aided in freeing the horse, leaving it practically uninjured amid a crowd of about 2000 and thousands of release suggestions.
