Womans theft case swirls around lodger and two unnamed men

Mrs. Beck of South End drew eight thousand three hundred eighty seven dollars from a bank to pay a mortgage. A 17 year old lodger Morris Aarénburg confessed to talking with an older man about the plan. The pair described two suspects Frank Gilman and Joseph Bauman, with details differing in later statements. Police pursue leads with a late night cab meeting.

London court awards £66,400 to London & Westminster Intract Corp

In the London sheriff court, the London & Westminster Intract Corporation won £66,400 against J H Brotherton, once an American Methodist minister. The case alleges Brotherton and J C K Vance promoted dubious mining ventures, formed the contract corporation, and sold shares for £56,000 before decamping to America. Proceedings aim to recover £57,600. Brotherton previously resided in Boston and later Denver.

Louis Gilmore Dies After Thanksgiving Football Injury

Louis Gilmore, 18, captain of Lowell High School football, died from a neck dislocation suffered in a fierce scrimmage during the Beachmont game at the fair grounds on Thanksgiving Day. Doctors initially could not gauge the injury. he died at 10:40 PM after his body became paralyzed from the shoulders down. He boarded at 118 Fremont Street.

Death of Capital Culture football player in Penn game

Johnstown capital city reports the death of Trumbull Kelly left tackle of the Capital Culture Football Club after injuries from a game with Indiana State Normal School. Kelly, a Yale graduate, resided in West Superior Wisconsin and died following an accident in yesterday afternoon’s match.
