Bay State brings home sick soldiers from Santiago
The hospital ship Bay State arrived at Lewis Wharf at 10 30 yesterday with ninety eight sick soldiers from the Second and Ninth Regiments. They sailed from Santiago August 25 and two died at sea, one later from typhoid fever and another from dysentery. The dead included W. H. Scriveney Leo J Brady and George Alfred Pitcher. The scene drew families and officials including the Governor Colonel Locke the Mayor and city and state officials.

The four residents were to be arraigned in Municipal Court.
