California Mails and Treasure aboard the Moses Taylor
The Moses Taylor from Aspinwall arrived in New York with California mails dated the 5th, over 500 passengers, and more than 2 million dollars in treasure. Principal consignors include Wells, Fargo & Co and Duncan & Sherman. Also noted are officers from the sloop Decatur and several U. S. ships at Panama and Aspinwall, plus Congress and treaty updates from Central America sought in July reports.
