President of Chelsea bank dies after illness
Newton August 26 Sylvester Baxter Hinckley president of the First National Bank of Chelsea died tonight at his home shortly before 6 after a six month illness. He had retired from active business 14 years ago and later became bank president. His health declined as the bank faced difficulties and he transferred his property to the bank before his death. Hinckley was born in Yarmouth in 1841 and spent his youth in Chelsea before a career in cordage, banking and public life.
