Settlement halts Brigham divorce dispute over $50,000

Report states the Brigham legatee’s divorced wife claimed the will was illegal but settlement reached without court action. Settlement reportedly amounts to 50000 dollars. Robert Breck Brigham left an estate well above two million including Hollis Street Theatre valued around 175500. Personal property consisted of stocks and bonds in several firms.

Daring Hull Gut Rescuers Save Four From Drowning

Four youths and two girls narrowly escaped death when the Tessie D. sloop tender capsized in Hull Gut near Pemberton. Leo Fitzpatrick Joseph O. MacLaughlin and William Brimes led a rowboat rescue, joined by Pemberton hotel watchman P J Kelly and Mr White’s yachtsmen. The rescued, aged 2 and 15 16, were revived by Dr C P Sylvester and to remain at the hotel overnight.

Runaway crash claims life of Jennie Montague in Pawtucket

Jennie Montague 23, a Pawtucket Telephone Co operator, dies after a runaway accident on Second Avenue. Her companion John F. Bannon 22 becomes violently insane. both were in a carriage pulled by a frightened horse that bolted and crashed into curbing. Montague’s death follows multiple family losses. Bannon is an overseer from Central Falls.
