Ellen Brady Narrowly Escapes Drowning at 75

Mrs Ellen Brady aged 75 had a near drowning experience when she fell from a wall and was rescued. Firemen and bystanders aided her retrieval from the water but she appeared uninjured apart from shock. Officials cautioned seniors to avoid risky ledges near waterways.

Ellen Brady 75 of 267-2 South Margin Street slipped from the South Boston sea wall near D and C streets at about 9 15 p.m. Two fishermen James Cronin and Walter Montague heard her cry and jumped in rescuing her. She was taken to Police Station 6 and later City Hospital where she rested comfortably and was expected to recover.
