Chauffeur arrested for drunken driving on first vacation day
Clifford Bennett 25, chauffeur for L. C. Chase Newton manufacturer, was arrested last evening on drunkenness and operating under the influence. Water-town police say Bennett sped down Watertown street, crashed into two plate windows at L. C. Morgan garage, Watertown and Galen streets, narrowly missing four clerks. He will be arraigned in Waltham district court this morning.
