A fire last night at 11 in a five story brick building at 22 Hawley Street damaged the top floor occupied by J Frank Giles & Co and the Boston Times. Firefighters faced ladder difficulties from electric wires. Total loss about 2000 dollars, heavy water damage to stock and machinery.

Lake Pleasant Aug 19 The New England Spiritualists Camp Meeting Association elected officers unanimously. Assault on Reserve Officer Ends in Street Fight
