Mary Barry a 14 year old of 2nd Street Chelsea nearly drowned at the North End bath Monday afternoon. Assistant Alicia Meagher sprang into the water fully clothed to save her, both were carried to the women’s bath for restoratives. Fire suppresses blaze in Beverly Street wood shop building

A lively fire at 72 74 76 Beverly street in a five story wood working building caused about 000 damage to the structure and contents. The flames started in an entry on the third floor and climbed upward as crews fought the blaze. Occupants included wood turners mantel makers cabinet makers and carpenters with Troy Bros on the street level. Successful Sneak Thieves Rob Roxbury Store for 350

P C Auld, Roxbury store owner at 2188 Washington Street, was robbed of 350 dollars in bills yesterday afternoon by two men. Auld's safe was entered during a distraction as one man requested change and a second conversarion allowed a pocketbook to be taken. Police hunted the pair after the 5 pm discovery, noting both wore dark clothes and derby hats.

Man Falls 25 Feet From Roof injuring himself

James Parker, 50, of 235 Washington Street, wandered onto a roof while ill and fell twenty five feet. He sustained a collarbone fracture and injuries to his head and shoulders and was taken to City Hospital.
