Preserving Season Peak Prices for Fruits and Veggies

Banner week for preserving with fruit at low prices and abundant supply. Peaches are 1 per 10 pound basket, plums 50 cents per basket, blackberries 10 cents per box, watermelon for pickling 4 cents, blueberries 15, black grapes 20 cents per basket, peas two quarts 15 cents, celery 10 cents a bunch, tomatoes 61 4 to 121 2 cents a pound, mackerel also a good value.

Fine table fruits and vegetables at low prices noted

A list of produce prices includes apples at 30 cents a dozen and per half peck, corn 15 cents, wax beans five cents a quart, cabbage five cents a pound, Spanish onions 10 cents a dozen, cucumbers five cents, pineapples five to ten cents, and various seafood items. Rich ore on Lind's land in Minnesota

Grand Rapids Minn Aug 14 John Lind special representative in Mexico of President Wilson has struck it rich on the Minnesota iron range. Forty acres owned by Lind were leased to an iron company with 2 cents a ton royalties and a 30000 ton minimum. Twenty drilled acres are said to show 4000000 tons. A prior lease on the land was canceled by U S Steel a year ago.
