Executive committee mobilizes Porto Rican relief drive

The relief effort raised 4401 dollars with a promise of 1000 more, including a 1000 sent by cable. The general relief committee met yesterday as the mayor read telegrams and directed funds and supplies toward aid efforts. An executive committee of five was appointed to coordinate contributions and forward shipments including food and clothing to Porto Rico and other needy areas.
