St Augustine Field Day Plans Display Strong Committee Reports

A large meeting of St Augustine field day committees gathered at F street hall to review plans for the Saturday event. Reports on order tickets transportation and refreshments were encouraging as Boston Elevated Railway announces a special Dover street to Charles River Park service. Rev M C Gilbride in charge of the carnival says the day should surpass prior festivals with a vaudeville show between baseball and bicycle events.

Isles of Shoals Excursion From Boston Aboard New Brunswick

The New Brunswick sails from Union wharf Boston daily except Saturday at 10 am for Isles of Shoals. Round trip fare is 7 cents with group rates. Saturday matinee to North Shore costs 25 cents. The steamer has 100 staterooms and is captained by W. H. Davidson.

Simpson Arrested in East Cambridge Larceny Case

James Simpson was arrested yesterday as he left the House of Correction in East Cambridge. He is sent to Maine where he faces a charge of Foray pita paca and has just completed a six month sentence for larceny. He will be conveyed to Belast by Sheriff P G Norton.

Train Robber Moved for Trial in Bass Crime Case

Rosslyn Ferrell, confessed murderer of Express Meerne, will be moved tomorrow morning to Matyaville in Union county for trial. He faces charges tied to the Bass crime and is slated for proceedings in the upcoming session.

Cape Cod to Provincetown Steamer Sees Strong Excursions

The Cape steamship operated by Boston Plymouth Provincetown Steamboat Co. carries full passenger loads weekly from Bay Line Wharf to Provincetown. General Manager J R Bacon and Captain A E Harding lead an efficient voyage with Jordan's chorus providing music. Departure is at 9 or 10 AM on weekdays, weather permitting, for a dollar fare.

Revere Beach Carnival Opens With Water Sports and Gold Prizes

The first real day of the Revere Beach carnival drew a scarce afternoon crowd but a larger evening audience. Boys from L Street bath house led in a 16-entry water race earning gold medals, while Arthur Learson and Willie Bowen won gold pins for the next race. H Gay of Revere won the 10-yard men’s race with Fred Burbank and W Morse close behind. Features included balloon ascension, diving horses King and Queen, and a fireworks display. Booths sparkled with flags and bunting, promising more events later in the week.

Dory Capsizes Off Bass Point Near Lynn Pier

Two fishermen John Anderson and Orrin Stoddard clung to the keel after a dory overturned off the Lynn steamboat pier at Bass Point. The E W Rice Jr steamer under Captain Herbert Franklin assisted, hauling Anderson aboard as others helped recover gear and boats.
