Employees from all three New England systems agreed to wait for complete ballot counts. A unit-wide New Haven vote will not be announced until Thursday. A meeting here Friday will declare final steps if needed. Men who voted yesterday favored calling off the strike.
Union officials say no end to the railroad mechanics strike until Saturday at the earliest. The Boston and Maine, Boston and Albany, and New Haven roads will act as one body after an agreement. Mass meeting in New Haven and Boston executive board meeting will reveal vote results and determine next steps.
President Wilson sent to the Senate the American draft of the League of Nations covenant. Republicans who pressed for a stronger pact found the move a boomerang as opponents argued the draft weakens the final peace terms. Continued on Page 10-Fifth Col.
In Lenox Massachusetts Andrew Carnegie will be buried in Sleepy Hollow after a private funeral at Sharow Brook his Lenox residence. Roswell Miller and A C Barrows left for New York to arrange a funeral train to Tarrytown where burial will occur in the Carnegie lot with services led by Rev William Merrill and Rev Benson Wyman.

Five year old Margaret Mahoney died from a skull fracture after falling four feet from a hall balustrade in A Street South Boston last night. She had been sliding down the bannister and lost balance near the bottom.

A Washington New York mail pilot named Samuel Custer Eaton Jr. was forced to land his airplane in the top branches of a tar tree in Germantown Philadelphia due to engine trouble. The wings and fuselage were smashed but Eaton escaped unharmed as firemen with long ladders lowered him to the ground.
In the American League Boston edged St Louis 1 0 while Chicago defeated Washington 7 4 Detroit beat Philadelphia 7 4 Cleveland routed New York 15 9 In the National League Pittsburg beat Brooklyn 5 2 Philadelphia won 5 3 against Cincinnati.
The forecast calls for fair weather in New England and east New York Tuesday and Wednesday with little temperature change. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting along the coast from Sandy Hook to Hatteras, and the Atlantic states north of Virginia may expect generally fair conditions and stable temperatures.
