Wisconsin Central advances on Chicago Schlessingerville line

Milwaukee reporting that Wisconsin Central has begun work on a new Chicago to Schlessingerville line with engineer crews ten miles north of Chicago. An Aug. 6 note says orders placed for 1000 miles of track material and supplies to reach Chicago, with ties already stockpiled along upper lines.
