Despatches from Brussels describe fears of further demonstrations against the deputies. troops deployed near the chamber, then withdrawn after a protest by the communal administration. Access blocked by police, arrests made, and the chamber’s civic guard called out. The session censuring the cabinet was defeated 81 to 39.
In Piketon area near St. Louis two Jennings brothers aged 10 and 12 quarreled yesterday. The younger stabbed the elder in the neck with a knife, severing the jugular vein. He died within minutes.

Old Orchard Maine August 7 Mr Blaine and party arrived by special train from Portland at 10 49 AM to an ovation. He hosted a large guest list and public reception at the hotel with Gov Robie present. Col W T Eustis guard of honor and a clambake misfire caused by a dealer sending 50 bushels per order for 1000. Restaurants and hotels benefited instead. Blaine did not speak as Gov Robie and others addressed the crowd and meeting.
About 500 to 600 alumni from 15 states gathered in Gardiner Depot for a Westminster academy reunion. Ex Gov. Washburn presided, with remarks by S. R. Heywood, Thomas H. Utica Aug 1 The Oriskany monument was dedicated yesterday by the Oneida Historical society in a crowd of about four thousand. John Seymour led the presenting committee, Ellis H Roberts accepted for the society, Horatio Seymour absent. Dorsheimer gave the dedicatory oration and Otto E C Juelsen spoke in German for western New York German groups.
Albert Thompson, 21, son of George H Thompson and boss of a crew laying poles for Western Union, was fatally injured after stepping between platform cars on a moving Boston and Albany train eleven miles west of Springfield Massachusetts. He died within moments at the scene. His home is Bath New York.
Nineteen lepers were sent back to China today aboard the steamer Oceanic as San Francisco covered their passage home and paid each affected person five dollars in aid.

Samuel Faulkner and Henry Aven confronted two Woodall brothers near Fredonia Texas on Monday evening. A fight broke out with rifles and knives leaving Allen Woodall dead and both Woodalls fatally wounded. Faulkner may recover from his wounds. The clash arose from an old family feud as the parties were en route to a camp meeting.
