Exemption boards in Division 7 Boston report dental problems are pushing many qualified men to be rejected for service. Officials will ask the Governor to provide state dental treatment to allow more registrants to enter the National Army.
The Boston Central Labor Union tabled Conrad W. Crooker's proposal to endorse aiding soldiers with wages near civilian pay. President Edward F. McGrady Secretary Henry Abrahams and others called the plan insulting to troops. They said soldiers go to the trenches for liberty, not pay.
Thieves entered the home of Rev. Almon J. Dyer on North Main Street Sharon and stole about 300 dollars in jewelry and silver. Dyer and his family were away on vacation in Cummington when the break in occurred. the crime was discovered by Sharon Chief of Police Derry.
Emperor William and Empress Augusta Victoria arrived in Berlin this morning. A despatch from Berlin states the Emperor received reports from the chancellor and the chief of the general staff upon arrival.
New York beat Cincinnati 7 to 2. Chicago 2, Brooklyn 2 in a split. St Louis 4, Brooklyn 1 in the first game. Detroit and Chicago tied 2 to 2 when rain halted play in the third inning.

In Holdenville Ed Bla lock a draft objector was killed when fighting between organized resist ers and posse men erupted near Holdenville Oklahoma. Two posse men Jack Paige and Henry Johnson were wounded Paige was carried off by the gang a large posse went to rescue him. In Oklahoma City armed posses arrested 30 more men bringing the total to 193. Leaders in objector groups faced roundup while authorities hoped the disturbances were ending.
Men arrested today were for the most part willing captives. A number of them sent word by women members of their families that they were ready to surrender. Two strong bands of the draft resisters remain, according to reliable information, the other having broken up when pursuit became hot. Twenty six men are in one group eight miles northwest of here, camped on Salt Creek, while a smaller gang is ten miles east. Rumors of trouble near Lamar could not be traced to any reliable source.
Leander H. Cardinal and Mrs. James Higginbotham of Pittsfield died at a local hospital after a head on collision between a motorcycle carrying Cardinal and Mrs Higginbotham and an automobile driven by Frank Quinn of Dalton. Quinn and his companions were uninjured. The crash occurred on a clear stretch of road early today.
Mrs Higginbotham and Cardinal die from skull fractures and multiple injuries after a collision on a road near the Allen stock farm. Eyewitnesses say the motorcycle rode close to the left, forcing a car onto trolley tracks. The victims died at House of Mercy Hospital. others uninjured.
Thirteen men from Lynn and Everett were arrested by military authorities at the Eighth Regiment Camp in Lynnfield for gambling on the Sabbath. They were jailed at Peabody Police Station on $50 bail each and will face a hearing the next morning.
Garbed in a white gingham dress Bianca De Saulles tells her lawyer Henry Uterhart her account of the Friday night tragedy when she shot her ex husband John L. De Saulles at Hempstead Plain. The mother says the act “had to be done.”
Uterhart portrays Senovita Errazuriz as misled in marriage to former Yale athlete Henry De Saulles. He claims she had only $100,000 of her own wealth and that De Saulles squandered $47,000. The suit argues a sustained neglect and divorce after battles over custody of their son Jack.
In Butte Montana August 5 the city police, deputies and 400 National Guardsmen guarded Frank H Little a member of the Industrial Workers of the World during his funeral. About 3000 mourners joined the procession to the cemetery and heard protests against the lynching. The casket bore red carnations and ribbons matching the I W W color while many women wore red sashes and an American flag led the procession.
An informal reception was held in the Reichstag building to mark the anniversary of August 4 1914 when Emperor William opened parliament and announced Britain and France had declared war on Germany.

A large auto truck collided with a small roadster near the Eighth Regiment camp at Lynnfield injuring eight men and shaking twelve others. The accident occurred yesterday afternoon on State road about one mile from the camp.
A truck owned by Samuel Knight & Son Co. of Manchester carrying Manchester men returning from the Eighth Regiment camp overturned after a passing roadster clipped its front wheel. Soldiers from the camp aided at the scene and treated the injured at a field hospital before sending them home.
