Runaway horse injures driver in Malden street crash
A horse-drawn light buggy dragging a frightened horse dashed down Medford Street in Malden near Green Street after a car scared the animal. Driver Joseph Hogan of 48 Salem Street Woburn was hurled onto his head and severely injured as the carriage collided with a telegraph pole. A Fells Ice Company driver finally halted the frightened horse by grabbing its bridle.

Roof Theft Trial Near Dover Street Case In Dedham Court
In the criminal court session Judge Parmenter heard Frank McWiggin arraigned for stealing a roof valued about $100 from an unoccupied brick tenement at 1105 East Dedham Street. Patrolman John Lane testified McWiggin was seen tearing away roof portions last week. McWiggin was found guilty and faces sentence today.

Lightning bolt travels mile through Copper Reef mine accident
In Globe Arizona on August 5 a bolt of lightning ran through nearly a mile of Copper Reef mine tunnel. The strike jumped 300 feet down a winze and injured one miner severely while shocking more than twenty others. The current traveled via steel rails of a skip hoist.

Two Russian Aviators Die in Accident at Krasnoye Selo
