Woman pleads for would-be groom in embezzlement case

Nettie B. Lawrence testified in Superior Court that Marsh Piter should not go to jail after he failed to appear for their June 15 wedding and embezzled her savings. Judge Sanderson continued sentencing to Friday.

Triplets Welcome Three Daughters to East Boston Family

Edward St. John of 207 Trenton Street in East Boston celebrated the birth of triplet daughters Mary Catharine and Gertrude born at 9 o clock last Sunday morning. Nurse Hanlon announced the trio to the astonished household as neighbors filed in to see the three sisters. The delighted father and mother anticipate trousseaus and growing family joys.
