Ankle Deep representing the Lake George Racing Association won the second race for the gold challenge trophy on a 29 mile course and will represent America in international races in England. P Dees rode Ankle Deep to a 47 29 time with Little Joker second and Mutt JY fourth. Mitt III started but did not finish due to an engine accident. The cup was awarded to Count Casimir Mankowski, owner of Ankle Deep, with another race scheduled tomorrow under American Power Boat Association rules.
George T. Adee announced that Robert D. Wrenn president of the U S National Lawn Tennis Association is aboard the Imperator with the Davis International challenge cup and will reach New York City next Tuesday or Wednesday. Also with Wrenn are McLoughlin Hackett Williams and Johnson. The Crescent Athletic Club will greet the team at Bay Ridge dock.
P A Nordmark of Austin Texas set a new mile pace on a half mile Taylor track finishing 14 minutes 50 seconds breaking Louis Disbrow's 1 minute 54.5 second mark. He swept all events entered winning six small races from time trials to a 15 mile event.
Joe Eagan and Eddie Murphy met at the Post sport department to arrange a bout after Murphy benched Eagan on points two weeks prior. They deadlocked over percentage and called the match off while both sides remained willing to box.
