Fireman Overcome During Somerville Charcoal Warehouse Blaze

Hoseman James J. Colbert of Hose 3 Somerville was overcome by smoke while fighting a fire in the Standard Charcoal Company storage warehouse on Water Street. He was revived after some time and could not return to duty. The fire's cause is unknown and the blaze burned for about an hour before being declared under control. Significant loss occurred to the charcoal as large amounts of water were used to extinguish the flames.
