An irregular tone dominated the curb scene with most issues edging higher. Boston Montana and National rose three cents, Homa opened 75 and closed 79, while Bohemia and United Verde Extension posted gains and Aetna Explosives and Mojave Tungsten weakened.
The Massachusetts Gas Company reports March net earnings available for dividends of 296 004 dollars, up 37 906 dollars or 14 68 percent from the same month last year, signaling stronger financial performance for the period.

At a special meeting, Tamarack stockholders voted 48 870 to 479 to sell property to Calumet & Hecla at 59 dollars per share. Outside holdings of Calumet & Hecla, 29469 shares supported the proposition, needing 24360 from the minority to complete the deal.
