Boston and Brooklyn opened in Brooklyn with the Giants defeating Boston 4 to 2 as Jack Doyle produced three two baggers and a lively baserunning display. At Brighton yesterday, Charles town High School nine defeated Brighton High School 6 to 2. The Charlestown players hit and ran almost at will.
Technology Chess Club accepts Harvard terms for an eight to ten man match set today. Tech players have beaten Somerville and helped defeat Yale and New Haven clubs in a telegraphic contest. A hard fought victory by Tech is unlikely but the interest in Boston chess circles remains high.
