Hole in Bow of Texas Reaches Port for Repairs

The battleship Texas arrived yesterday after storm damage while en route from Charleston to this port for permanent repairs. A hole in the bow from striking a derelict wreck off the Florida coast was temporarily patched at Charleston to sail to Boston. A gale worsened the patch during the voyage, but pumping kept the ship afloat and she reached port safely for dry dock work.
