Men Buried in Stable Debris During Somerville Fire Rescue

At a Somerville fire in a wood stable three Ilose Company 38 members Lieutenant Henry Turner Thomas Deegan and Thomas Joy were buried when the floor collapsed. They were rescued unharmed by fellow firefighters. The blaze started in Robert Trull’s Bolton street stable and spread to McAvoy’s and the Squire estate stables behind 108 Prospect street. two, one, and two horses were on site but all were saved by early responders.
