British and Boer Forces Clash Near Bloemfontein

Wandering Montreal Woman Found Near Nashua Rail Line

Destructive Forest Fire Near Chatham Burns 1200 Acres
A major forest fire swept through Chatham on April 26 possibly started by the Cape train of the New York New Haven Hartford line. A northwest wind aided the blaze as a large railroad crew fought to save nearby houses. The flames burned about 1200 acres before being brought under control.
